Message: hold down the space bar instead of rapidly repressing it, also make your shots count, if you miss you have to wait for the shot to go off screen b4 you can shoot again. as each level starts pick a side (right or left, dosnt matter) and take out two coloms first, this will slow there rate of decent as the first "invader" to reach a side wall casses all of them to drop down one square, continue take off colums from the sides till theres none left, ive goten into the hundreds of thousands with this method. good luck, i hope a bunch of you see this.
